We start with 100% grass-fed & grass-finished, pasture-raised beef. And that’s it. Our single-ingredient beef tallow is made from slowly rendering beef fat, resulting in a substance that’s ideal for high-heat cooking, helping to enhance the natural flavor of the food you’re making.

“We eat what they eat.” At Kettle & Fire, our sourcing standards are our top priority, and we don’t cut corners. Which is why we select farms where cattle eat only grass their entire lives, not grains or other additives. Added hormones, antibiotics, and artificial ingredients do not belong in their food, nor are they welcome in ours.

Why does the texture of my tallow look grainy or pebbled?

We render our 100% grass-fed & finished beef tallow using a blend of two types of fat: suet and body fat. Suet has a higher melting point and creates a smooth, creamy texture. Body fat delivers a rich flavor, but is also more prone to natural crystallization due to its unique fatty acid profile.

The texture you may notice is completely normal and simply a result of these two fats cooling and solidifying at different rates. It’s a sign that we use real, single-ingredient fats - with no stabilizers, emulsifiers, or additives.

To restore a smooth consistency, gently reheat your tallow. It’s that simple!

What does “Seed Oil Free Certified” mean?

The Seed Oil Free Certified seal comes from the Seed Oil Free Alliance, verifying that a product contains no highly processed seed oils like soybean, corn, or sunflower. To earn this seal, every ingredient and the final product must go through documentation, testing, and auditing to ensure only pure, seed-oil–free fats (like beef tallow) are used.
